The staff were always so helpful, professional, and kind! They gave us recommendations on a nice/authentic Italian restaurant when we didn't know where to start looking for them.
The room and room service were always kept up and beautiful!! It had everything we needed/wanted and more. We got room service one night and the food was delicious.
Our package came with breakfast included and it was always so fresh and good as well.
This hotel has a rooftop bar - it's also where they serve the breakfast. Beautiful outlook of the city!
The location is smack dab in the center of all main attractions in Rome. Everything was walking distance.
If you're between this hotel and another, CHOOSE THIS ONE. You won't regret it.
We had a wonderful trip to Rome! The hotel was beautiful, staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were lucky to have an upgrade upon arrival. Room was lovely. Loved the rooftop bar, great views and service. Breakfast was good, lots of …
We would thoroughly recommend the Marcella Royal Hotel. The accommodation is superb, the staff very attentive, the situation ideal - not too near the noise of the city centre but only a 10 minute walk. The rooftop bar was wonderful for …
We stayed for 4 nights. The room was comfortable and the rooftop garden is beautiful. Breakfast is a buffet with lots of choices and we had dinner two nights which was also excellent. Well situated for sightseeing. By far the best thing is …
Amazing experience and friendly staff. Within walking distance of the trevi fountain and Spanish steps. The roof terrace is beautiful both in the morning for breakfast and the evening for dining. The food and drinks are an average price for Rome. Would definitely recommend and we will return!
Very recently stayed at Marcella Royal Rooftop Hotel, stayed in a Privilege Room, lovely room, nice and warm, serviced daily. Slight smell in bathroom which was also present at times in lift and streets, not a problem really. Reception staff very professional, always there to help. Breakfast is continental, but more than adequate, sets you up for the day. Rooftop bar has wonderful views, bit pricey but normal for city's I should think, cocktails are very good. Experienced a very good break here would return again, some nice restaurants very nearby.
We recently stayed for 6 nights at the Marcella Royal Hotel in Rome during the month of September and had a wonderful time there. Upon arrival, we entered into a lovely and very well presented entrance foyer, which itself just creates a really nice atmosphere leading into the rest of the hotel building, the reception staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The room we were put in was lovely, it felt both clean and fresh and it needs to be mentioned that the staff who cleaned our room each day, did an excellent job and they too were very friendly when seen in and around the hotel building. As mentioned in previous reviews, the highlight of the hotel is the rooftop bar/restaurant, it really does have some amazing views of Rome! We had breakfast in the restaurant a few times during our stay and although the breakfast options on offer are slightly on the limited side, the quality was very good. We would also venture up to the bar most evenings for a coffee, and by the middle part of our holiday the staff got to know us quite well and what coffee we would be ordering each night, which was quite amusing but just highlights how friendly the staff really are. If you are looking for a great place to stay in the heart of Rome, would definitely recommend the Marcella Royal Hotel.
Lovely, friendly staff and hotel was everything we wanted. Superb roof terrace and excellent live music on Saturday night. Would certainly recommend. The family room was very spacious and ideal for three people.
We stayed here the middle of September for three nights. We booked early enough we were able to take advantage of a free room upgrade to Prestige Room. Our room had a more modern design, was plenty spacious, and extremely clean. There were always two staff members at the front desk and were very friendly and helpful from recommending restaurants to requesting taxis for us. We absolutely loved the rooftop terrace and utilized it every morning and every night.
Breakfast had plenty of choices with eggs, pastries, fruit, cereal, juices, and an espresso machine. You could also order a fresh espresso from staff. The only irritant we dealt with were bees on the terrace...nothing the hotel can do about that, just nature.
We did not eat dinner here but did enjoy coffee and dessert one evening...very yummy!
Loved the location, not in the heart of the busiest touristy stuff, but within walking distance or a quick taxi ride. Plenty of nearby banks, restaurants, and shops.
Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others!! Few other things to note: rainshower showerhead was fabulous with wonderful pressure, beds were very comfy, and hotel was extremely quiet...never heard another guest.
We stayed at Marcella Royal Hotel at the beginning of September for a few nights. The hotel is in a perfect location as you are close enough to all of the sight-seeing spots but not too close for it to be constantly busy. The rooftop terrace is a beautiful place to spend the evening, with the most amazing views of Rome. The hotel is beautiful, however, the staff really made it the most enjoyable experience. We were served most evenings by Genesis & Aero (I'm hoping the names are correct!). They were so polite and friendly which really made such a difference to our stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Rome. We are already looking at coming back - thank you!
